Loved directing The Great North Pole Bake-off! Great parts for all ages. Everyone loves cookies! The writing was so catchy building off the phrases we all know from reality cooking shows. Kids all loved it! And the judges loved getting to eat cookies on stage!!!

My students performed this as a one-act as part of a "night of holiday one-acts" with another piece. It was relatively simple to costume and find props, since it called for classics: elves, Santa, reindeer, etc. My only qualm was that it started to get a little repetitive - Santa and the Snow Queen say the same things to most of the contestants, and each "scene" follows a pretty basic format. The inclusion of an overarching storyline for the wet-blanket elf Coal helped give some framing, and the kids loved working together to make the cookie props. We sent them out into the audience at "intermission" to distribute some peppermint candies and that worked well with the lines at the end of the script!

Eldrige was GREAT to work with - the process for ordering and paying for materials was simple, and the scripts came in really quickly after ordering. I'll certainly be looking at more titles from here in the future!
