"This is a wonderful piece that allows for characters to really become unique. The students were able to learn new acting styles and to stretch their abilities. Actor Games
"We took the show on the road performing in 5 different locations over the course of 3 days. Our cast consisted of 12 homeschool students ages 10-18. All agreed the project was a success. A couple of teachers expressed interest in the script. We performed for 4th-12th grades. The 7th graders seemed to be our best audiences. They had a ball from beginning to end." -- M.J., Theatre Winter Haven Academy, Winter Haven, FL

Actor Games
"My students thoroughly enjoyed putting on this production! Because the 'Hunger Games' are so popular right now, they were thrilled to do this parody. Not to mention, they learned so much about different styles of theatre. The script provided an opportunity to reinforce these concepts in an authentic way. This play is a fabulous choice for `theatre geeks!'" -- A.A., Mission Trail Middle School, Olathe, KS

Act it up!
Not only did this play provide the students with an education of acting styles, the students truly enjoyed the ridiculous situations and scene work.  We had great conversations! The play is great at showcasing all actors in some way.  Warning: There is no set design or costume recommendations. I enjoyed the freedom to create and imagine, but it's helpful to have those for initial planning.   It does have a complete list of props which was easy to pass on to students.  Also, take some time to really figure out how to successfully execute the very abrupt end.  We had a blast producing this play, and I was often asked, "Where did you find this play?"

Good script for fast action/relevant for teens
I cast this show but had a student direct it. As I provided oversight, this was a great project for us since I had a senior who wanted to learn the task of directing. We found the action fast-paced enough to keep our audience interested. There were a few places that I think made it difficult to direct until after the student-director read through it MANY times. After allowing the senior to direct, I would do things differently if we use this script in the future. I would recommend having a primary rehearsal as the adult then turning the show over to the student AFTERWARD. We appreciated the dynamic range of characters and the ability to learn new styles.
