Every Little Crook and Nanny
"The show was excellent and a lot of fun, but we had lots of unforeseen problems. The lead actress fell down some stairs and broke both legs so we had to recast after 2 weeks of rehearsals. Another actress had to have her gall bladder removed immediately after the show closed. Someone else lost an uncle, but the show must go on. The last disappointment occurred on Friday the 13th during the run. The large popcorn popper in the concession stand died right before intermission. All in all, we felt we triumphed over all the adversity to put on a great performance every night!" -- R.M., Director, Auburn (KS) Community Theatre

Every Little Crook and Nanny
"We performed 'Every Little Crook and Nanny'  in conjunction with the Phillips County Arts Council. We had a good time preparing for the opening night. The script was really cute. Everything went smoothly, and I would recommend Eldridge Plays!" -- C.H., Phillipsburg, KS

Every Little Crook and Nanny
"A cute, fun play to direct. Most of the main characters have similar amounts of lines. You can really add some crazy old-lady costumes and makeup. For little Gerald we gave him a funky outfit and a propeller hat. The audience loved it, and we received lots of great reviews." -- S.S., Corsica-Stickney School, SD

Wonderful Play to work on comedic timing!
This show allows for many teachable moments. The interactions between characters in pairs as well as entire ensembles allow for exploration of scene within a scene as well as timing. This piece stretched my actors to show reactions and remain an active part of the scene even when "sidebar" conversations were taking precedence over the scene. And this is truly a very funny show. We had a blast producing this!

Funny play with tender moments
I first read this play about 12 years ago and thought it was so cute…but haven’t had just the right cast to do it. This year we had a willing child and everything else fell in place to present this play. We got rave reviews and each audience laughed harder than the last. We also had our share of adversity…one cast member had to back out with just 10 days to opening night…luckily we had an actress that can learn lines fast! Also had a case of Covid the day before opening night, luckily we could adjust for that also.
