ROSINA MASON WHITFIELD
|ROSINA MASON WHITFIELD is the Youth Theatre Director for the City Arts Drama Center in Greensboro, NC. She is also the Artistic Director of the Greensboro Children’s Theatre where she directs for the older youth group, the Livestock Players, and runs the education department. Before that she was the Director of Theatre Arts Education at York Little Theatre in York, Pennsylvania where she headed the youth theatre division and where this show was conceived, written and produced. It toured in York and surrounding counties for two years.|
She has directed full-length Shakespeare plays with young people including the City Arts production of "Taming of the Shrew," set in the Wild West, and "Much Ado About Nothing," set in the Naval Academy in the 1950s. She also taught acting and speech for ten years.
She managed her own theatre company, Trumpet Vine Theatre Company in Washington, DC, and has worked professionally for many years as an actor, director and teacher. She has a degree in Theatre from American University in Washington, DC.
This is her second published Shakespearean adaptation.
